Create a scholarship package
- Step 1. Open Scholarships and add a package with a clear name.
- Step 2. Choose coverage: the school fee, named extra term fees, and/or specific daily or weekly plans.
- Step 3. Choose the calculation: percentage off, a fixed discount, a fixed amount the student pays, an amount paid by class, or full coverage.
- Step 4. Enter the amount, relevant class values and optional date range. For class-specific payments, leave non-participating classes blank.
- Step 5. Review the example calculation and save an active package.
Assign it to the pupil
Open the pupil’s add or edit form, choose the applicable packages and review the fee preview. When more than one package applies, review the offered highest-benefit or combine setting rather than assuming every discount will be added together. Save and check the pupil’s actual fee breakdown.
Read the calculation correctly
| Choice | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 25% off a GHS 1,200 fee | School covers GHS 300; pupil pays GHS 900. |
| Fixed discount of GHS 100 | Take GHS 100 off each eligible selected fee, up to that fee’s cost. |
| Student pays GHS 200 | Pupil pays up to GHS 200 for each selected fee; this is not a GHS 200 discount. |
| Full coverage | The pupil pays nothing for the selected eligible fee. |
Change a package carefully
Editing or deleting a package affects pupils who have it and recalculates their open-term bills. Removing it can increase the amount owing. Recurring-fee changes start tomorrow; existing recurring charges are preserved. For a dated recurring exception, use an exemption in that plan’s register.
