Assign teachers and subjects

Class teacher assignments and subject teacher assignments have different responsibilities. A role alone does not give a teaching-only account every class. Use Assign subject teachers to connect each offered subject to the responsible member of staff.

  1. Step 1. Open the class and review the offered subjects.
  2. Step 2. Choose the class teacher or teachers and any support-teacher responsibilities.
  3. Step 3. Use the subject assignment controls to select the right teacher for each subject.
  4. Step 4. Ask the teacher to refresh their account and confirm the assigned class appears.

Keep levels, sections and class order consistent

  • Use sections for parallel classes at the same school level. Keep their level consistent even if the section names differ.
  • Review capacity before new admissions or transfers. A class label alone does not describe available places.
  • Use Reorder carefully: the class ladder affects year-end placement and connected roster checks.
  • Confirm the curriculum stage rather than relying only on the class name; assessment and observation choices use the class setup.
