Review the evidence behind a concern
- Step 1. Open the pupil attention or insights view from Students or the dashboard.
- Step 2. Choose the intended class and period. Review the explanation and dated evidence for each concern.
- Step 3. Compare attendance and academic history before deciding what action is needed.
- Step 4. Open the pupil record or underlying register/assessment to investigate missing or incorrect data.
Record an actionable follow-up
- Step 1. Open the pupil’s follow-ups or the task’s updates panel.
- Step 2. Write what was observed, the next action and who should follow it up using the available controls.
- Step 3. Add progress updates to the same conversation so the history remains together.
- Step 4. Use the task state or resolve action when the follow-up is complete.
Use task updates without confusing them with saves
Task updates and follow-ups keep discussion attached to attendance, assessments and pupil concerns. Status uses the latest underlying school records where applicable. Posting “done” does not confirm an attendance register, save missing marks or approve a report.
- Open the source task and complete the required school record.
- Use reminder preferences to choose the available in-app or email reminder options.
- Review sharing and recipients before adding personal pupil information to a wider staff conversation.
