- Step 4. Follow any readiness guidance back to missing setup, marks or observation ratings.
Complete report details
- Step 1. Review each pupil’s marks or observation ratings and the report calculation.
- Step 2. Check attendance totals and unrecorded days; resolve missing registers through Attendance.
- Step 3. Enter or review the trait ratings and the permitted teacher or headteacher comments.
- Step 4. Save edited remarks and ratings before leaving the preparation tab.
- Step 5. Preview a sample report and check the school identity, pupil name, subjects, scores and comments.
Move from preparation to approval
Return to the class reports or approvals workspace. A complete draft can be sent to the school’s named approvers when approval is required. Use the status and readiness messages for each pupil; a PDF preview is not an official parent release.
If headteacher approval is not required for this term, authorized staff use Issue official report from the preparation workflow. Downloading a preview alone does not issue an official copy; later official corrections use the revision action.
- If a subject has no numeric columns, check whether it uses observations or no assessment.
- If a score is incomplete, correct the source marks rather than entering a report total by hand.
- Find a report searches existing pupil reports; it is not a replacement for class preparation.
